Welcome to Nakina North Outfitters

We offer fantastic fishing and Moose hunting at remote outpost destinations in Northwestern Ontario. Guests are flown to our Percy Lake Outpost out of Nakina via Nakina Air. Guests flying out to our Redsand Lake outpost north of Armstong will be flown by Wilderness North Air or Rusty Myers Air; depending on the group size. All our cabins are fully equipped for housekeeping.

Walleye Fishing:

Our lakes all have tea stained water, which many refer to as Walleye Wine. This water color always produces the best Walleye fishing because they do not need to go deep to avoid sunlight thus they are easily accessible and easy to catch. You can expect to catch fish in great numbers with days of 50 to 100 Walleyes if you put the time in. The availability of larger fish in the 25" to 27" is excellent.

Northern Pike Fishing:

Northern Pike are common and can reach great sizes. They have an abundance of Walleye and Perch to feed on as well as other feeder fish. If you target Northerns you should be able to catch multiple fish over 10 pounds but it does not stop there. Many Northern Pike over 20 pounds (40" to 44") get caught and released throughout the season.

Brook Trout:

Our Percy Lake Outpost has the Kapikotongwa River and the Little Current River running into the lake. These rivers combine into a much larger Little Current that flows out of the lake. In the spring you can drive your boat down the Little Current to Betty Falls. Fishing below the falls will produce gorgeous Brook Trout (called Speckled Trout by most people in Ontario). You can catch small pan fryers as well as larger trout in the 1-4 pound range. There have been much larger trout caught.

Perch:

Percy Lake has outstanding Jumbo Perch fishing. They are generally in the shallow weedy areas and are easy to catch using smaller baits. 11" to 13" Perch are common. With a sport license you can bring home 50 Perch.

Moose Hunting:

Our camps all have great Moose Hunting. At present we have six archery and rifle Bull Moose tags but assessments by the MNR will reduce that in the future. We also offer accommodations for residents with their own tags for WMUs 17, 15B and 16C.
